Issue:

The 1st International Scientific Conference is intended to initiate biennial meetings of domestic and international researchers specializing in leisure, tourism, and recreation.

The conference, organized in 2026, is an anniversary event and accompanies the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation at the Krakow Academy of Physical Culture, which continues to operate, with interruptions, to this day (History of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation).

The anniversary is not only an opportunity to summarize past achievements but, above all, to define the Faculty's current position in the context of its educational and scientific achievements and challenges, in a dynamically changing environment.

 

Main Conference Objectives:

Invitation to participate in thematic sessions, methodological workshops, meetings with entrepreneurs, and an expert debate, as well as planned scientific publications.

Determining the current state of knowledge in the field of leisure, tourism, and recreation, and the necessary actions in the context of health, cultural, social, economic, climatic, and political challenges.

Integrating scientists representing various universities and research institutes in Poland and abroad around the topics proposed in the conference theme.

  Activating the community of Polish researchers in tourism and recreation and increasing the opportunities for internationalizing their activities and research results.

Encouraging the participation of young researchers, including students and doctoral candidates active in research groups, through participation in the Young Scientists Competition.

Highlighting the historical and contemporary role of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation at the Academy of Physical Culture in Krakow in educating personnel for the tourism and recreation market and in research development.
